Amadou Roufaye Issaka is a Hydrogeologist Engineer, GIS professional with 17 years of working experience in fieldwork and geospatial data management in different sectors like water resources, Land, Climate change, Natural Resources, Irrigation, Resettlement…..He has also experience in public administration, he was a GIS data administrator at the Geological and Mining Research Center under the Ministry of Mines of Niger Republic, from December 2007 to August 2018.
His main work was to ensure the training of staff of the ministry and others, the production of data, and production of maps concerning geoscientific information by using sophisticated technical software, he conducted many meetings with stakeholders, investors, and civil society actors particularly in the country and generally outside the country.
He has also an experience in the private sector, from 2002 to November 2007; Amadou Roufaye Issaka acted as a hydrogeologist in one water private firm (bureau etudes BERIA/ANTEA). He conducted the supervision of drilling water boreholes, hydrogeological surveys, Bibliographical studies, mapping studies, elaboration of technical reports, calling for enterprises, financial reports, meeting with public institutions…through many projects.
He was in charge of GIS data Management of Millennium Challenge Account of Niger from September 2018 to January 2021, Millennium Challenge Corporation, US Funds. The main work is the management of all GIS and Socioeconomic databases, a conception of the thematic maps of different projects of the compact program in terms of collecting, Supervising, and validating the fieldwork of the GIS and DB reports of the various consultants, Support to the different teams in GIS data collection (land, resettlement, environment, irrigation, roads, climate change resilience), training of staffs on GIS technology (QGIS, ArcGIS, GPS, kobo toolbox, web mapping.)
