Camila is HOT’s Proposal Development Manager. She joined the HOT team on January 2021. Camila manages all new business and program development processes for HOT to more effectively secure government, bi-national, and multi-national donors. Camila’s work enables HOT to track, identify, and strategically respond to funding opportunities that bring sustainability to the OpenStreet Map community and its global work.
Camila brings five years of global program development experience rooted in a human rights perspectives responding to humanitarian emergencies and human rights violations in both conflict and post-conflict settings including Iraq, Colombia, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Republic of Djibouti. Thematic areas of focus have included integration of child soldiers, juvenile justice in areas of armed conflict, responses and solutions to gender-based violence in emergency contexts, combatting trafficking in persons in contexts of irregular migratory flows, and provision of specialized protection services for the most marginalized and vulnerable populations. She is particularly passionate about program development that addresses freedom of movement, migration, protection, assistance, and solutions for internally displaced persons, asylum seekers, and refugees. Camila has a MA in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from SciencesPo Paris.
