Following the 2021 Haiti earthquake, and HOT activation to it, HOT and COSMHANNE (a local OSM community) co-designed a project to focus on re-training members of COSMHANNE, providing the necessary tools and knowledge to enhance sustainable capacity around disaster response and recovery locally.
Project outcomes and objectives:
Primary: Strengthen COSMHANNE organizational capacities
Primary: Update relevant geospatial data of disaster-affected areas
Secondary: Trial early recovery project on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)/Climate Change Adaptation (CCA)
Secondary: Deepen collaborations with H2H partners, Insecurity Insight and Groundtruth Solutions
