H2H Haiti
Following the 2021 Haiti earthquake, and HOT activation to it, HOT and COSMHANNE (a local OSM community) co-designed a project to focus on re-training members of COSMHANNE, providing the necessary tools and knowledge to enhance sustainable capacity around disaster response and recovery locally.
Project outcomes and objectives:
Primary: Strengthen COSMHANNE organizational capacities
Primary: Update relevant geospatial data of disaster-affected areas
Secondary: Trial early recovery project on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)/Climate Change Adaptation (CCA)
Secondary: Deepen collaborations with H2H partners, Insecurity Insight and Groundtruth Solutions

Lorsqu'il est devenu évident que le projet de collaboration entre HOT et l'organisation communautaire COSMHANNE en Haïti nécessitait un volet de formation technique OSM en français, la communauté OSM RDC est intervenue.

When it became clear that the collaborative project between HOT and the COSMHANNE community organisation in Haiti would need a technical OSM training component in French, the OSM DRC community stepped in.
