World Cleanup Day Mozambique 2026 is a youth-led campaign that combines digital tech with grassroots environmental action. Building on last year's success, where 106 young people mapped and cleared local waste hotspots, this year’s event empowers youth groups to use open-source mapping to identify pollution, clean their neighborhoods, and create lasting public data.
Register your group, set up a coordination WhatsApp chat, and complete the online mapping track:
Pick a neighborhood zone, secure permission from local leaders, and use ChatMap to pinpoint exact trash piles before cleanup day.
3. World Cleanup Day (20 September)
Gather your team of at least 25 volunteers. Head to your mapped coordinates, clear the waste, and take clear before-and-after photos.
Coordinate with local authorities to haul away the collected waste. Share your results online using
#CleanPlatesToCleanCities and #WorldCleanUpDayMoz2026, and submit a simple one-page blog post about your experience.
