Omowonuola Akintola
GeoSpatial Analyst - West and Northern Africa Hub / West & Northern Africa
Omowonuola Akintola has environmental consulting experience in the private sector providing expertise in mapping and spatial analysis for local and global projects. Before joining HOT, she has been engaged in using geospatial technology in innovative ways – developing geospatial approaches and methodologies to support electrification projects. She holds a BS in Surveying and Geoinformatics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She is currently working with HOT as a Data Quality Specialist. In addition to her technical experience, she also brings a strong insight into community engagement from her volunteering experience. She has been engaged with OpenStreetMap since 2020 and she is an active member of the OSM community in Africa.
