Dana Gallaty

Bio
Dana Gallaty is HOT’s Global Operations Manager. Her background is in supporting post-conflict recovery efforts, grassroots fundraising, and operations management, with a regional focus on central East Africa. Dana’s professional experiences prior to joining HOT have been eclectic, ranging from traveling across the US for 10 weeks fundraising for Invisible Children to living and working on a 30-meter tall ship as a crew member. She’s also a long-time volunteer with Amnesty International’s Security with Human Rights team, where her work has centered on protesting human rights abuses at Guantánamo Bay detention camp and indiscriminate mass surveillance.
Dana has a MS in International Policy Management and BA in International Affairs from Kennesaw State University. Originally from the Atlanta, Georgia, USA area, she has lived in Iran, Uganda, Malaysia, Denmark, Turkey, and The Netherlands.
